Finding dairy-free milk used to be a serious challenge, a hunt every time I entered even Whole Foods. In the past few years, however, this category has exploded. There are aisles filled with milks made from almonds, soy, coconut, and even weird things like hemp seeds. With this commercialization has come the unfortunate: many brands often use cheap fillers, additives and sugars, taking away any health benefits you might be getting from going dairy-free. Worry not, a new brand is here! These milks are delicious not only on their own, but also in cooking. Meet Rebel Kitchen

Rebel Kitchen makes ready-to-go coconut "mylk" drinks with 100% real ingredients. They currently have three flavors: chocolate, chai and coffee. Including the flavor, each milk is made from just coconut milk and dates, making them one of the cleanest non-dairy milk options on the market. The best part? These milks are delicious and the perfect grab-and-go breakfast or snack. They don't even need to be refrigerated!

While I 100% encourage drinking these milks by themselves, they are also great in recipes. If you ever run out of cacao, chai spice or coffee, having these drinks on hand can save you time instead of running to the store.

In the chai donut recipe, I achieved the perfect chai flavor without having to buy ingredients that I probably wouldn't use again any time soon. Instead, I just used my Rebel Kitchen Chai Mylk and whipped these up in just 30 minutes.

For the frosting, blend the dates, cashew butter and cacao in a blender until smooth. You may need to add a dash of water to get things moving and to soften the dates. When the donuts have cooled a bit out of the oven, add the frosting and enjoy! The best way to eat these? For breakfast with your Rebel Kitchen Coffee Mylk.

Overnight oats are great because of how fast you can prepare them. This is my go-to "I'm in a rush" recipe, and Rebel Kitchen has helped to make it even faster. By using Rebel, the milk, cacao and sweetener are all added in just one step.

Last, but not least, is the Coffee Mylk. This drink is especially good on it's own (or drank with Chai Mylk donuts), but having it on hand encouraged me to try a recipe I had been wanting to for a long time: a coffee-based smoothie. I am so happy I did because this is my new go-to morning smoothie.

As I said earlier, these milks are fantastic by themselves, but they are even better recipe-helpers in the kitchen. I seriously recommend giving them a try. The best part? 1% of all sales go to 1% For The Planet, a network of businesses, nonprofits and individuals striving for a healthy planet.
