How to Make This Insanely Easy No-Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie and Nutella Ice Box Cake

Calling all cookie, Nutella, and frozen dessert fans: here’s the recipe of your dreams. These ice box cookies take the crunchy goodness of cookies, the chocolatey-awesomeness that is Nutella, and the literal coolness of Cool Whip, and combine them all into a beautiful dessert guaranteed to satisfy any sweet cravings.

Beware — once you start consuming this dish, you may find difficulty stopping. I’m pretty sure I took one bite and then suddenly half of it was gone. It’s insanely satisfying to just take a spoon and nosh on this frozen masterpiece — a perfect end to a stressful day.

Ice Box Cookies

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 4 hours
  • Total Time: 4 hours and 10 minutes

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 package Chips Ahoy! cookies
  • 1 container Cool Whip
  • 1 jar Nutella
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Tin Foil

Step 1

Line an 8×8 baking pan with tin foil.

Step 2

Pour milk into measuring cup or glass.

Step 3

Dunk cookies individually into milk using tongs and place on bottom of pan.

Step 4

Once entire bottom of pan is covered by cookies, spread Nutella over them.

Step 5

Spread a layer of Cool Whip on top of Nutella.

Step 6

Dunk remaining cookies into milk and place them on top of Cool Whip layer.

Step 7

With remaining Cool Whip, spread over tops of cookies.

Step 8

Cover with plastic wrap.

Step 9

Freeze for 3-4 hours depending on how cold you want them.

#SpoonTip: For a less frozen treat, place in refrigerator for 3 hours.

Step 10

Remove from freezer and pour leftover melted Nutella over the top. Crush remaining cookies and sprinkle on top.

Scoop and serve. Return leftovers to freezer or refrigerator.
