Make this Chocolate Babka French Toast to Up Your Brunch Game

Chocolate Babka is basically bread on steroids. Kicking up your french toast with this as your base will make brunch twice as delicious. Would you really say no to chocolate for breakfast?

Chocolate Babka French Toast Bake

Ingredients
  • 4 thick slices chocolate babka
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter
  • Powdered Sugar for dusting
  • Maple Syrup

Step 1

Cut each slice of babka into 8 pieces to form small chunks.

Step 2

Combine eggs, milk, 1/4 cup of sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl. Whisk until combined.

Step 3

Take an 8 in x 8 in baking dish and coat the bottom with melted butter. Add the chunks of babka.

Step 4

Pour the egg mixture over the babka pieces. Let sit in the fridge for  30 minutes to an hour.

Step 5

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 40 minutes.

Step 6

Remove aluminum foil and dust with remaining tablespoon of sugar. Broil for 2 minutes.

Step 7

Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar and lather with maple syrup.
