How to Make a Refreshing Wine Smoothie

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UBC chapter.

I came about this one morning when I got back from a stressful class and all I wanted was a smoothie. When I didn’t have any almond milk left to use, I found a glowing bottle of Moscato. I don’t know why a boozy berry smoothie never crossed my mind before, but I’m so happy it did. If you’re thinking “this sounds weird”—just imagine a frozen and blended sangria. Now, are we on the same page?

Instructions

  1. Jasmine Chan

Add the berries, shredded coconut, and Moscato into the blender.

  2. Jasmine Chan

    Blend everything until smooth.

This is the recipe that I came up with on that day—but it can be altered in so many ways to your own preference. Try a red wine instead, or a different kind of frozen fruit. I reckon even using some ice cream, which could turn out incredible.
