This blackberry ricotta with basil pizza is perfect to make for brunch when you want to take it to the next level. Plus it has fruit, so it’s healthy, right?

Blackberry Ricotta Pizza with Basil

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup blackberries, mashed
  • 1 cup parmesan, grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella, shredded
  • 3/4 cup ricotta
  • 1/2 cup blackberries, whole
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Salt and ground pepper, to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 450°F.

  • Step 2

    Roll out and knead pizza dough to about 12 inches in diameter.

    Drizzle with olive oil and use fingers or brush to coat well, especially the edges.

    Mash blackberries in a bowl with a fork and spread onto dough.

    Top with parmesan and mozzarella.

    Place dollops of ricotta evenly around pizza.

    Top with whole fresh blackberries, chopped green onions, salt and pepper.

    Bake in oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until crust starts to brown. Remove from oven and top with basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, slice and enjoy!
