This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at F and M chapter.

Move aside pumpkin spice, because it’s peppermint’s time to shine.  If you have less than ten minutes to whip up a holiday treat to take to that ugly christmas sweater party or even your Grandma’s annual Christmas Eve dinner, then this is the recipe for you. And don’t worry, you don’t need a kitchen to make this snack, so to all of the college kids out there: you can stop holding your breath.

Easy

Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 5

Ingredients:

30 Chocolate covered pretzels
30 Hershey’s kisses (I used normal and white chocolate peppermint swirl)
30 M&Ms

Directions:

1. Line up a few rows of chocolate covered pretzels on a microwave safe plate

2. Place a Hershey’s kiss on each pretzel and pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds. Let them cool for a minute then put them back in for 15 second intervals. You don’t want to keep them in the microwave for too long or you will burn your precious kisses.

3. Once the chocolate is soft enough, place an M&M on each kiss and then into the freezer or fridge they go.

  1. Depending on your temperature preferences, take them out of the freezer anytime between 5 and 10 minutes and ENJOY the most magical holiday treat you’ll ever eat.
