The bacon, cheese, and egg (BEC) trinity is a classic breakfast combo that has taken over bagels, burgers, tacos and now, mac n’ cheese. With the rich, cheesy creaminess to the crunchy bacon and oozing yolk, how much more comfort do you need from your food? As someone who loves breakfast food and mac n’ cheese, this mac n’ cheese recipe will surely satisfy any desire and won’t disappoint.

    Bring water in a pot to a boil. Cook the macaroni as directed on the box. Once cooked, make the base by adding the butter and flour into a different pot on medium heat. Whisk until thick. Then add the milk slowly and whisk again until it has completely thickened.

    Add the cheese until melted. Once completed, add the macaroni to the sauce base. At this time, you can either chop up the cooked bacon into smaller pieces and mix throughout the macaroni, or weave the pieces together u0026 save them for later.

    Inside a ramekin, pour the mac n’ cheese in first, followed by the layer of cooked hash browns and extra cheese. If you weaved your bacon together, place it on top. Put in oven for about 5-10 minutes, or until crisp on top.

    Fry an egg over easy or sunny side up (whatever your preference is), and serve with the egg on top.
