Bacon and Cheddar Biscuits

    Ingredients

  • 455g self-rising cake flour
  • 3g salt
  • 170g butter
  • 225 g grated white cheddar cheese
  • 55g bacon
  • 265g milk

    Prepare using flaky dough mixing method

    Flour work surface and scrape dough onto it. Gently fold the dough over itself several times to help add layering and flakiness to the dough. Press or roll the dough to a 1/2-inch thickness. Do not make dough too thin. Cut with a round cutter and transfer to paper-lined pan. Brush tops of biscuits with egg wash

    Add 55 grams of finely chopped toasted bacon to the mix just before adding the liquid

    Bake at 450° about 10 minutes , until well rised and colored on the bottom. Serve immediately or cool and reheat at 350° before serving.
