Ditch the Soggy Crust and Make These Apple Pie Fries

In lieu of Pi Day (March 14), let’s put a spin on our beloved, traditional apple pie. I don’t know about you, but I’m not a bottom crust fan. This recipe is perfect because both sides are nice and crisp. None of that soggy crust shenanigans.

Besides, with a name like “apple pie fries,” how could you go wrong? This is the perfect finger food dessert that will leave your friends’ mouths speechless and watering. The crispy crust blankets the warm, sweet and tangy taste of traditional apple pie filling. If you’re not a crust person, try out this crustless apple pie recipe!

Apple Pie Fries

  1. Sabena Quan-Hin

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Finely chop half of the can of apple pie filling.

    Lightly dust the work space with flour.

    Spread the chopped up pie filling over one of the spread out pie crusts.

    Cover with the second pie crust and press edges together.

    Slice into 1/2 inch strips.

    Transfer the strips onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
