All right, we lied. There’s no way to eat apple pie and ice cream for every meal of the day AND live guilt-free. Don’t worry, we’re upset about it too. To combat our disappointment, we present you with a recipe that tastes just like your favorite holiday dessert, without the extra calories. This dish is healthy enough for you to eat for breakfast every day of the week, and it’s delicious enough that you would want to.

Guilt-Free "Apple Pie"

    Ingredients

  • 1 fat-free vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 apple
  • 3 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup granola

  • Step 1

    Assemble all ingredients. Grease a pan with cooking spray and warm over medium-low heat.

    Slice your apple into fairly thick, bite-sized slices.

    Coat apple slices with cinnamon.

    Drop apple pieces into the cooking pan. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 3 minutes or until apples are soft.

    #SpoonTip: If you like cinnamon, add more while cooking. Cinnamon is an anti-inflammatory and can lower blood sugar levels.

    Scoop vanilla, non-fat Greek yogurt into a bowl. Add in granola and apples.

    #SpoonTip: If you want to tone down the sugar, use plain yogurt mixed with a small dash of vanilla extract.
