Spring. Break. Two words that can be scary if you haven't quite reached that summer bod. Whether you're going on an exotic, tropical vacation, or stay-cationing, you'll probably want to look and feel your best. In the winter, it can be hard to find the motivation to go to the gym (trust me, I know) and to stay on a healthy diet.

This is where smoothies come in.

Smoothies are perfect for curing─or at least diminishing─that unwanted bloat. Superfoods like cucumbers, lemon juice, spinach, chia seeds, and bananas all contain essential vitamins and nutrients that are great for detoxing.

Detoxing allows your body to flush itself of toxins and to refuel. While there are many benefits of detoxifying your system, it is important to not be on a detox diet 24/7, so eating a smoothie bowl for every meal of the day is probably not the best idea.

Below are five easy smoothie bowl recipes that are easy to customize. These are just a few basic recipes to get you started, but by following the basic formula of a liquid + fruit + superfood, the flavor combinations are endless.

#SpoonTip: Eating your smoothie in a bowl does not affect the taste, but it does allow you to make a pretty design with the toppings... hellooo foodstagram?
