We are one month into 2019 and, just like everyone else, I have made a new years resolution to eat healthier. To stick with my resolution, I started drinking green juices. They are healthy, tasty, and very simple to make. If you happen to own a juicer, here are 5 simple go-to green juice recipes when you need something healthy to drink quickly. I would also recommend these recipes to anyone who is new to green juices.

#SpoonTip: Each recipe is open to adjustments! You can omit any of the ingredients listed or even add more vegetables (or fruits) to the recipes to make it your own.

1. Celery

This simple recipe calls for only one ingredient: celery. Celery is known to have a great number of antioxidants and supports your digestion while reducing inflammation. Adding celery juice to your diet will not only support a healthy digestive tract but will also provide you with fibre.

It also helps aid in weight loss and promotes hydration.  The next time you're feeling parched, maybe consider making this nutritious drink.

No green juice is complete without spinach. This leafy vegetable is a powerhouse of nutrients that may help prevent cancer and reduce blood pressure levels.

While spinach is a powerhouse of nutrients, parsley is a nutritional powerhouse of vitamin A, B, C, and K and the minerals iron and potassium. Parsley also aids in balancing your blood sugars.

You can also add lemons to the list of vegetables that promote hydration. Lemons are a good source of vitamin C that also supports weight loss and improves your skin quality.  Another fun fact: lemons can help freshen your breath and prevent a dry mouth.

Finally, adding kiwi to this juice will help reduce blood clotting and manage your blood pressure.

5. Celery + Cucumber + Green Apples + Spinach + Kale + Parsley + Romaine Lettuce + Lemons

Behold, the top tier of healthy green juices. This recipe, like the others before, is packed full of nutrient-rich ingredients. This one, in particular, includes kale.

Now, kale is probably one of the most hyped up superfoods so it had to be included in this recipe. Kale is one of the best sources of vitamin K, which is super important for blood clotting. It can also help lower cholesterol

While loaded with powerful nutrients and antioxidants, kale is also a good source of minerals and vitamin C and is high in lutein and zeaxanthin: powerful nutrients that protect the eyes from macular degeneration and cataracts.

With these green juice recipes bookmarked, you will be drinking up tons of nutrients in no time.
