5 O’Clock Fridays: Single-Serve Summer Ale with a Twist

Let’s cut to the chase – here’s how to make a single-serve summer ale that’s perfect for summer chillin’, brunchin’, tannin’, and partyin’. Additional Coronas during preparation are recommended.

#spoontip: Corona is gluten free. You’re welcome, Celiacs.

Now let’s get this bad boy started.

Single-Serve Summer Ale with a Twist

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 4-5 hours (to allow the ice cubes to freeze)
  • Total Time: 5 hours
  • Servings: 1
  • Easy
Ingredients
  • 1 packet Crystal Light lemonade
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 1 Corona
  • 1 shot vodka
  • 1 cup Sprite
  • 2 slices lemon
  • 2 slices lime

Step 1

Cut up a very hairy kiwi and a very sour grapefruit into small pieces and place it in your ice tray.

Step 2

Mix 1 instant lemonade packet into a glass of water and pour over half your ice tray. #spoontip: Don’t snort it.

Step 3

Do the rest with Sprite. Not to be confused 7Up.

Step 4

Place these bad boys in your freezer until they’re #frozen.

Step 5

Cut 1-2 slices of lemon and lime, preferably without cutting off your finger.

Step 6

Put your beautiful ice cubes into a glass, followed by your lemon and lime slices. Instaworthy.

Step 7

Add a shot of vodka into a glass. We promise you won’t even taste it.

Step 8

Pop open a GLUTEN FREE Corona and flip that bad boy upside down in your cup.

Step 9

Sip daintily.

Step 10

If you’re feeling dangerous, flip over the Corona and drink separately. Pour Corona all over your hand.

Step 11

Finish off that Corona, belch like a queen and give mom and dad a shoutout. #drunk
