5-Ingredient Cookies ‘n Cream Hand Pies

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at DePaul chapter.

Whether you’re a cake or pie person, you can appreciate the fact that baking a delicious cake or pie requires some time-commitment. So what to do if you’re under a serious time-crunch but are craving some dessert? Make some hand pies of course!

Not only are these the most adorable and scrumptious looking things, but they are incredibly easy to make and take only 30 minutes out of your busy life. Plus, the only ingredients you need are probably already in your kitchen if you’re the dessert-lover you claim to be: chocolate, Oreos, and pie crust.

What I also always prefer when it comes to dessert recipes is flexibility. Maybe I’m not feeling half milk half cookies ‘n’ cream chocolate, instead I want only dark chocolate — no problem. Or I want both Chips Ahoys and Oreos — stack away. Better yet, I’ve got some mini marshmallows lying around — toss ’em in!

This hand pie recipe can adapt to any combination of preferences, so pull out that leftover chocolate and snag those cookies before your roommate gets them, and start baking!
