Speaking of castles, the St Andrews one has a kind of morbid past, if you ask me. But we can all agree that the castle ruins are unbelievably gorgeous, and really, really cool. Planning on picnicking on the castle grounds? Bring along some of this insanely good gin cocktail.
Combine the gin, lemon juice, Curacao, sugar, and egg in a shaker half-filled with ice cubes.
Shake well and strain into a Collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the soda, stir well, and serve. Enjoy in great quantity.
Curious Cucumber Tea

Ever feel overwhelmed by work and want to take a nice stroll through the Kinnesburn or Botanical Gardens? Ever write papers better while drunk? Ever wonder what a drunk contemplative through the Botanical Gardens would be like? Grab this cocktail to go and wonder no more!
Squeeze a lemon into a small cup or jug. Cut about 2.5 cm of cucumber into small bits and add to cocktail shaker.
Muddle cucumber in the bottom of the shaker until it is squashed. Add gin, rose syrup, lemon juice, and ice to the shaker and shake until the shaker goes cold.
Strain the mixture into a glass using a fine strainer to remove bits and fill about half the glass. Fill rest of the glass with Prosecco. Finish drink. Make some more.
