The Birdie

    Ingredients

  • 2 oz Eden Mill gin
  • 1/2 oz St Germain Elderflower liqueur
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 oz sugar syrup
  • 5 leaves of fresh mint

    The favorite cocktail of British Open golfers, what better way to celebrate the university’s 602 by celebrating one of the town’s favorite past times? If you’re feeling something refreshing and sweet, this one’s for you.

    Combine all ingredients into a Boston shaker and fill with ice.

  • Step 3

    Double strain into a chilled coupette or a martini glass. Drink it. Yeah, we know it’s good.

The Southsider

  • 2 oz Eden mill gin
  • 1 oz sugar syrup
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3-4 oz soda
  • 3-5 leaves of fresh mint
  • 1-2 fresh lime slices

    Yes, you totally can drink gin on the beach (dare I say even on West Sands?). Celebrate your uni’s birthday with this fancy gin cocktail (we promise we won’t tell Fife Police…).

  • Step 2

    Combine all ingredients in a Boston shaker and fill with ice.

    Shake well and stir. Serve chilled. So. Much. Yum.

Royalty Fizz

    Ingredients

  • 2 oz Eden Mill gin
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Blue Curacao liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 oz soda
  • Step 1

    Speaking of castles, the St Andrews one has a kind of morbid past, if you ask me. But we can all agree that the castle ruins are unbelievably gorgeous, and really, really cool. Planning on picnicking on the castle grounds? Bring along some of this insanely good gin cocktail.

  • Step 2

    Combine the gin, lemon juice, Curacao, sugar, and egg in a shaker half-filled with ice cubes.

    Shake well and strain into a Collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the soda, stir well, and serve. Enjoy in great quantity.

Curious Cucumber Tea

    Ingredients

  • 2 oz Eden Mill gin
  • 4 1/2 teaspoon rose syrup
  • 4 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 oz Prosecco
  • Step 1

    Ever feel overwhelmed by work and want to take a nice stroll through the Kinnesburn or Botanical Gardens? Ever write papers better while drunk? Ever wonder what a drunk contemplative through the Botanical Gardens would be like? Grab this cocktail to go and wonder no more!

  • Step 2

    Squeeze a lemon into a small cup or jug. Cut about 2.5 cm of cucumber into small bits and add to cocktail shaker.

  • Step 3

    Muddle cucumber in the bottom of the shaker until it is squashed. Add gin, rose syrup, lemon juice, and ice to the shaker and shake until the shaker goes cold.

    Strain the mixture into a glass using a fine strainer to remove bits and fill about half the glass. Fill rest of the glass with Prosecco. Finish drink. Make some more.

  • 1 shot of Eden Mill gin
  • 1/2 shot of strawberry liqueur
  • 1/2 shot of vanilla liqueur
  • 4 oz lemonade

    Lastly, but surely the best (didn’t expect that coming, did you?) is the 602 cocktail which is the most delicious thing, EVER. If you’re feeling some homemade cocktails, we’ve provided the recipe. If not, you can hit up the Vic, where they’ve got this recipe down pat.

    Mix all ingredients in a glass half-filled with ice. Serve chilled. Party on, because your uni deserves it. Happy 602, St Andrews. You’re seriously awesome.
