How to Make Holiday Wreaths You Can Actually Eat

In need of a festive and healthy side dish to bring some holiday spirit to your spread? Look no further. Here are four wreaths made out of healthy foods that are sure to be hits.

P.S. The great thing about wreaths is that you can make them out of almost anything you want (fruits, vegetables, desserts, etc.) so get creative. You’ll have everyone acting like the Grinch trying to steal your wreath.

Brussels Sprout Wreath

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 6-10 minutes
  • Total Time: 16-20 minutes
  • Servings: 2-4

Ingredients
  • 25 brussels sprouts
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon walnuts, coarsely chopped

Step 1

Cut Brussels sprouts in half and wash them.

Step 2

Heat oil in medium frying pan, add Brussels sprouts and sauté 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Season with salt.

Step 3

Arrange on a plate and garnish with cranberries and walnuts.

Avocado Toast Wreath

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients
  • 18 french baguette slices
  • 2 avocados
  • Kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Pepper
  • 2-3 radishes
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon olive oil

Step 1

Cut the avocados in half and scoop the insides into a bowl.

Step 2

Sprinkle with two pinches of Kosher salt and the lemon juice. Stir until chunky and mixed.

Toast the baguette slices until golden brown, or to your liking.

Step 4

Top each piece of toast with a tablespoon of the avocado.

Arrange on plate in shape of a wreath.

Wash radishes and cut into circles or semi-circles.

Step 7

Top with salt, pepper, slices of radish, and a drizzle of olive oil. Serve within 30 minutes for a bright green wreath.

Nacho Wreath

  • Prep Time: 1 minute
  • Cook Time: 3 minutes
  • Total Time: 4 minutes

Ingredients
  • 8 handfuls of green tortilla chips
  • 2 cup shredded white cheese
  • 4 red tortilla chips

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Step 2

Arrange green tortilla chips in the shape of a wreath on baking sheet.

Sprinkle shredded white cheese on top of the chips. You can use any white cheese, for example, white cheddar or mozzarella.

Bake in oven for 3 minutes or to your liking.

Top with a red tortilla chip bow and serve right away with your favorite salsa or guacamole.

Kale Salad Wreath

  • 2 bunches kale, washed and chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 apple, cut julienne style
  • 1/2 red apple
  • 1/3 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing and Recipe Mix

Step 1

For the dressing: mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, and Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing and Recipe Mix.

Wash bunches of kale and chop.

Wash apple and cut half of it julienne-style.

Put all salad ingredients into a large bowl.
