How to Make Baked Lemon and Herb Salmon in 30 Minutes
After a long day at work, I don’t want to spend another hour or more making dinner. It’s at times like these that I wish I had a house elf (sorry Hermione) to cook for me. Unfortunately, no such magical creature exists.
Instead, I typically end up making baked salmon because it’s so simple yet so good. All it takes is a few ingredients, an oven, some foil, and salmon.
Let’s get started.
Baked Lemon and Herb Salmon
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 25 minutes
- Total Time: 30 minutes
- Servings: 1-2 servings
- Easy
Ingredients
- 1 salmon fillet
- 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 clove garlic
- dried herbs
- black pepper
- salt
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Step 2
Wash fillet and pat dry with paper towel.
Step 3
Tear off a piece of foil large enough to wrap around the fillet and set on baking sheet. Place salmon in the center of foil.
Step 4
Mince garlic and spread over fillet.
Step 5
Sprinkle salt, pepper, and dried herbs (I used dried parsley and basil) evenly over fillet.
Step 6
Squeeze half a lemon.
Step 7
Cut cold butter into thin slices and spread over fillet.
Step 8
Wrap fillet in foil, and place in oven for 25 minutes or until salmon flakes easily with fork.
Step 9
Enjoy!
#SpoonTip: Eat the salmon in the foil for less of a mess, AKA less to clean up.
