We all need something to do during our time in quarantine, so why not try out a new recipe? You can tweak these recipes to be your own or follow them exactly, either way they are guaranteed to be delicious!
Healthy Rice Bowl
First up is a recipe from @syr_eating_club. They start their bowl by cooking up some white rice as their base. Next, they sauteed some onion, garlic, and ground turkey in a pan with a sauce made of soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
You can top rice bowls with whatever you please to make them your own! This recipe used some peas, julienned cucumbers, and thin strips of boiled carrots to add some nutritious value. All of this was finished off with a fried egg. The runny yolk is perfect for topping off this healthy dish! We are drooling.
Banana Bread
Our next submission was a homemade loaf of banana bread that came from @foodloverheaven1. This recipe is gluten-free and can easily be tweaked to be dairy-free as well!
The dry ingredients include 1 3/4 cups of oat flour, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp of baking soda. The oat flour can be made from using rolled oats and blending them up in a blender until they resemble the texture of regular flour. Using the oat flour keeps the recipe gluten-free friendly!
For the wet ingredients, you will need 1/3 cup of coconut oil, 1/2 cup of maple syrup, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of any milk of your choice, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and of course 3 very ripe bananas. If you opt for any plant-based milk like cashew, almond, or oat milk, you can make this recipe dairy-free! To finish off the recipe, you can add any mix-ins including chocolate chips or nuts.
Glazed Donuts
