Everyone loves a good food truck, but it can be hard knowing where to go and what trucks are worth the stop along the road. I wanted to share with you the best Houston food trucks I have found, their best menu items, and where they can frequently be found.

The Burger Joint

The Burger Joint doubles as both a restaurant and food truck on the go. These perfectly cooked burgers, which come in Veggie as well, are everything you could want from a burger with fresh Angus Beef and a sweet bun.

#SpoonTip: Try the Bacon Parm fries.

The Waffle Bus

There's no better way to start off your Sunday morning than with Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffles. The Waffle Bus, which frequently appears in the Rice Village, gives you the perfect combination of sweet and savory and has some of the best Waffle fries in town.

Oh my Gogi!

This is probably one of the most talked about Houston food trucks. This Korean-Mexican food truck serves a wide variety of food including burgers, quesadillas, tacos and dumplings, but their most popular item is probably their OMG! fries. Their unique tangy flavors make for the best late night snack.

#SpoonTip: Check out Oh my Gogi's instagram for their schedule.

SMOOSH Cookies

If you're ever in the mood for dessert in Houston, Smoosh is the place to go. Their thick ice cream smooshed between two freshly baked cookies and the topping of your choice makes for the perfect summer dessert that just gets more delicious with each bite.

Tacos Tierra Caliente

Tacos Tierra Caliente is claimed by many as the best breakfast taco place in Houston. Located off of West Alabama, you can sit and enjoy these homemade tacos with their perfectly fluffy tortillas at the Alabama Ice House for just $1.

Good Dog

Everybody loves a good hot dog but The Good Dog food truck goes a step further with their gourmet hot dogs, ranging from Mac and Cheese (The Rodeo Dog), Black Bean (The Texican Dog), to a simple Build-Your-Own hot dog.

Breaking Bao

Frequently featured at the Truck Yard in Downtown Houston, this Korean Houston food truck is known for their fried chicken Bao, made with local ingredients and sweet steamed bread. These tiny sandwiches make for a blast of flavor with each bite.

The Melt on Wheels

Who wouldn't like a Grilled Cheese food truck? Melt on Wheels adds an unique twist to the classic grilled cheese with sandwiches such as the Three Piggy Grilled Cheese with pulled pork and the Beet Goat Cheese Melt, made with fresh beets.

#SpoonTip: Check out the Truck Yard's schedule to see when The Melt on Wheels will be there.

Muiishi Makirritos

This Korean-Japanese food truck, which can frequently be found in the Heights, is the sushi you never knew you needed. Their makirritos, including the Swaggy Dog, are the perfect blend of Korean-Japenese flavor and will satisfy your seafood cravings.

#SpoonTip: Also check out the Truck Yard's schedule for Muiishi's appearances.

The Rice Box

The Rice Box, which just opened a very cool and trendy restaurant, is the best version of take-out Chinese food. Their unique box opens up flat to serve perfectly seasoned rice mixed with meat and vegetables and topped with a delicious crunchy egg roll.

While there are so many good Houston food trucks across the area, I hope I helped to narrow down some of the best. Whether it be Chinese, Burgers, or Desserts, Houston food trucks have you covered.
