The Initiation
Comm check, comm check! Come in, agent! Your mission is to gain access to the new restaurant SafeHouse Chicago on Ontario Street. Upon your arrival you must craft a story explaining your intentions at the SafeHouse Chicago to get past the secretary.
Your next obstacle will be the access password. If you do not have this, then you will be required to pass a test that proves your worth as an agent to the SafeHouse. Upon successful completion of the challenges, you will then receive access and a card with details of your mission.
Your Mission
Once seated, a SafeHouse spy (we were briefed by Agent T-Funk who we commend for his loyal service to the agency), will debrief you on your mission and the available array of food.
From a brunch, kids, and dinner menu to a late night menu, there wouldn't be a time you can't seek refuge in the SafeHouse. We highly recommend trying the Mission Impossible Challenge. However, this isn't for the faint of heart, but it is for the hungry of the students. Grab your partner or fly solo on this challenge to finish $65 worth of drool-worthy grub. You'll be feasting on a burger stuffed with 12 patties, 22 ounces of beer in a fishbowl (yes, an actual fishbowl), and a skillet of cheese curds.
Covered in two types of gooey cheese and oozing with beautiful burger juice, your stack will not disappoint. If you're drooling already, hold onto your seats because we haven't even gotten to the booze yet. SafeHouse Chicago's beer is home brewed with a sweet strong taste unique to this spot. As for the cheese curds, these squishy, salty, breaded umami bombs will have you finding room in your stomach that you didn't know existed.
SafeHouse's Secret Spy Atmosphere
With dimmed lights and plenty of surveillance TVs, SafeHouse Chicago is the perfect spot for your secret rendezvous.
The spyware gadgets along with the equipment creates the coolest environment to devour burgers. This makes it easy to understand why it would be featured in Chicago Magazine as "Chicago's Best Burger" right next to the infamous and highly praised Au Cheval.
Even SafeHouse Chicago's manager Agent Sparrow testifies she "loves the creativity and how every day is distinct. Every mission is unique and requires you to have different one on one encounters with incoming agents. [She] even misses serving agents."
If you can't handle the Mission Impossible task, SafeHouse still has plenty of challenges for you. Try your hand at the the Mother of All Burgers, also known as the M.O.A.B. You can still contribute to the agency's impeccable reputation while taking it easy on yourself.
