If you go to the University of Arizona, you most likely know of the hangout spot located on University Blvd., own as Scented Leaf Tea House + Lounge. With a wall full of airs to teas to choose from, pungent smell of baking brownies, and comfy chairs to sit in, it makes for the ultimate hang out spot. Now the tea shop has opened their doors in downtown Tucson with a new location for Scented Leaf.
Interior
The new location incorporates the same outdoor seating concept that the one on campus has. The interior of the shop is decorated in a tan and white color scheme with plenty of seats and pillows. It creates a cozy atmosphere for long study sessions or a great place to catch up with a friend.
More options
Many of the on tap teas can be found at the new location but there are some newcomers to the famous tea wall. New teas and features of the tea house include 16 on tap teas, including new ones such as orange vanilla cream and cold brew coffee.
Hours
Scented Leaf on University Blvd., is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Saturday, and Sunday. But if you want to stay out later, the Scented Leaf on Congress St., is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., every day of the week.
Criticism
Although there are some great new things that were added to the Leaf, there is one criticism for the newly opened tea house. There was only one worker working at the time so it was a bit slow for ordering the tea. Hopefully, there will be more employees working in the future and they will be able to work it out. But of course, all new businesses have their time period of acclimating to their newly opened space.
