Valentine's Day is coming up and for all of you with a significant other you're probably trying to figure out what to do. A nice dinner is always a good go to, but finding a place can be tricky. I've compiled a list, with some help from friends, that lists the best places in Westwood to bring that special someone out to eat.

The list is organized by price, so even if you have a budget you should be able to find a nice, romantic place to eat.

Pomodoro Trattoria

This little Italian restaurant is a little outside of Westwood's main area, but definitely worth looking into. It has a small, intimate setting making it perfect for a date night. The food itself is tasty, especially their pasta, and is served in big portions so you definitely get bang for your buck.

A little fun fact is that when some friends and I went there during February last year, there was a lady selling roses table side. So here you  have the chance to wow your date with great food and a red rose.

Palomino

Another Italian restaurant known for its happy hour deals, the menu has something for everybody. From a crab and artichoke dip appetizer to a pizza as an entrée, you'll be able to make a picky eater happy with their variety oriented menu.

Along with the great food, the restaurant itself has a very upscale feel that is going to be perfect if you're trying to impress your date.

Skylight Gardens

If you're feeling like some pasta and unique cocktails, this is the place for you. The dining area itself is beautiful and has open, as well more intimate seating options, so you both will both feel very comfortable. Their website recommends attire as business casual, so the vibe is definitely more "adult," but at a good price.

As for the food, sources have told me their appetizers are great to start with, and that the pasta is to die for. The menu is filled with classic dishes, as well as some with a twist, making this dinner spot a great place to have some refreshing familiarity.

Fundamental LA

Although Fundamental LA is known for its lunch and sandwiches, their dinner menu is unique and tasty. Diners can choose from a three course, pre-set price meal or choose starters or mains from that weeks menu. Each week the menu changes slightly, so I can't tell you what will be on there during Valentine's Day, but based on weeks past it's going to be good.

They also have a wide variety of wine, cocktails and more, which is always a bonus. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but that gives it a more intimate feel that Valentine's Day planners strive for. Although a little outside of the main Westwood area, it is definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for some fresh, unique dishes

STK Los Angeles

Now STK isn't exactly for those on a budget but it is definitely worth the price. Located inside the W Los Angeles - Beverly Hills, it is an upscale restaurant that specializes in cooking stakes, but also has salads, shellfish, and other types of meat.

The meat is high quality and will leave you wanting more, even if your wallet is saying no. The ambiance is romantic and great for a Valentine's Day dinner if you're trying to wow your date. If you have the means, this is definitely a worthy restaurant to check out.

So there you have it, five great options for Valentine's Day. Whether you're on a budget or planning on going all out, I'm sure one of these will fit your needs and make your night out that much more special. If you're looking to have a date at home, try these ideas
