Takis Just Released Two Wicked-Inspired Flavors & I’m Obsessed

With just over two months until Wicked: For Good releases in movie theatres, we are all eagerly awaiting the return of Elphaba and Glinda on our screens. To keep us dancing through life until the film’s release, food brands are collaborating with Universal Pictures to release snacks themed after everyone’s two favorite witches. Takis just released two new Wicked-themed flavors that feature their classic, flavorful heat in crispy green and pink tortilla chips.

What do the Wicked Takis taste like?

Takis released flavors for both the Wicked Witch of the East and the Good Witch of the North.

Emerald Heat, the aptly-colored flavor inspired by Elphaba, features the spice of habanero peppers and the refreshing taste of cucumber. The habanero and cucumber mix is the same flavor present in Takis’ seasonal Zombie flavor, so you can opt for Elphaba’s themed chips once the seasonal chips leave stores.

Sugar and spice are packed into the Glinda-inspired Spellbinding Sweet flavor, which blends sugar and cinnamon into pale pink chips. Fans of Takis’ Churro Charge flavor will enjoy these pink chips, as they both feature the same emphasis on sugar and cinnamon flavoring.

Where can you purchase the Wicked Takis?

Wicked Takis have been spotted at Five Below, food blogger @markie_devo said. As the release of Wicked: For Good on November 21 nears, we can expect to see the Takis hit shelves in more stores like Target and Walmart.

The Wicked Takis flavors are sold separately, with each package featuring Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba or Ariana Grande’s Glinda in their Wicked: For Good costumes, as well as a stamp design that reads “approved by the wizard.”

What other Wicked food collaborations are there?

Not a fan of the Takis heat? Other food brands have you covered with an array of Wicked-themed snacks.

In August, Pillsbury announced a Wicked: For Good version of their shape sugar cookies. These pre-cut cookies feature green and pink designs of Elphaba’s witch hat and Glinda’s crown that can be eaten raw or baked in under 15 minutes.

If you are looking to start your day off with your love for Wicked, General Mills released two Wicked: For Good corn puff cereals inspired by Elphaba and Glinda. Enjoy a caramel apple-flavored cereal that is just as green as Elphaba herself with the Elphaba Caramel Apple flavor. Alternatively, opt for the Glinda Good Berry for a bright pink cereal that tastes like strawberries.

Ice cream brand Van Leeuwen released a vegan Wicked-inspired ice cream flavor. The light pink and green scoop is strawberry-and-matcha-flavored, and is available at Van Leeuwen scoop shops across the United States.

There may only be a few food collaborations released so far ahead of Wicked: For Good, but we can expect many more to come in the next two months. Prior to the release of Wicked in November 2024, fans enjoyed collaborations that ranged from Starbucks drinks and Stanley cups to dumplings and macaroni and cheese. Be on the lookout for a variety of pink and green snacks to magically appear at your local supermarkets soon.
