If you missed out on the viral “My Coffee Order” trend, don’t worry. TikTok has already moved on to its next big thing. For all the non-coffee lovers, the newest craze involves stepping out of your Taco Bell comfort zone and discovering what could be your new favorite meal.
The ‘My Taco Bell Order’ trend only takes a few simple clicks and a trip to the nearest Taco Bell. To get started, all you have to do is type “My Taco Bell Order” into your TikTok search bar. The top video recommended to you will be the order you must try, no matter what it is. The only rules of the trend are no second guessing the order you get. Customizing the order and scrolling to find a video you like better is strictly forbidden. Results vary from new specialty tacos to frozen Baja Blasts to Strawberry Cinnabon Delights. Taco Bell has such a wide variety of menu items that you never quite know what you’re going to get, making it a fun surprise.
Mukbangers across the platform have picked up on this viral trend. Influencers like Jas and Kam, known as @jaskam_, filmed their video to show the foods they got and their reactions to them. While disappointed with some of the items, like a plain cheese quesadilla with two cups of sour cream, Jas said that a lot of the food made her feel like a little girl again. “I haven’t had these since I was like a kid after church every Sunday. This is so nostalgic.” Jas said. Throughout the video, Jas shouts out the creator that inspired her Taco Bell order and compliments her choices of food.
The popular school influencer Noelle Zoeller, @noellelovessloths, also took a shot at the viral trend, ordering the exact meal she was recommended- which included a grilled cheese burrito with potatoes instead of meat. The rest of the meal featured nacho fries with cheese and a Doritos locos taco. “Her order wasn’t anything too crazy, but I feel like you also can’t really go wrong at Taco Bell so this is great” she said. Noelle points out that while she was excited to try something new, she still prefers her own Taco Bell order and she was inspired to film her own video sharing what it is.
While the trend doesn’t have an official creator, a lot of influencers credit @ShhhhlmEating with helping inspire their own orders. His famous grilled cheese burrito with extra nacho cheese has become a staple in many influencers’ orders. Because TikTok searches vary from person to person, anyone’s video has a chance to become the inspiration for someone else, making it a wide circulation of creators and menu combinations. The next time you find yourself at Taco Bell, try searching for a new order because you never know what fun combinations you might get.
