Is Trader Joe’s Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip The Dip Of The Summer?

Trader Joe’s just launched a new cottage cheese ranch dip that turns the viral protein packed snack into a creamy ranch dip. The lower calorie, high protein and already mixed dip might just be the missing piece on a summer snack spread.

Just last month, a TikTok of ranch seasoning being used in cottage cheese went viral as a replacement to your regular ranch dressing. The comments were filled with added ingredient suggestions, such as adding Greek Yogurt and blending the cottage cheese to get rid of the chunky texture.

TJ’s heard the suggestions and created a product that is exactly that. The Ranch Cottage Cheese Dip for $3.99 is low-calorie, flavorful and rid of any cottage cheese chunks. With no mess and no prep (thank you TJ’s) you could be adding a protein packed punch to your poolside chips and dips.

What’s the dip taste like?

It’s made with cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, buttermilk, and ranch dressing herbs to create a light texture packed with protein. You can scoop, dip or spread the product on anything from crackers to vegetables and sandwiches. TJ’s even suggests using it as a supplement to mayo on a sandwich.

TikTok reviewers started to taste test the dip with the majority of reviewers using it with chips, vegetables and other TJ’s chips. One of the best combinations I’ve seen so far is a TikTok with the TJ’s chile lime flavored pork rinds dipped straight into the container. I’ll definitely be adding this combo to my summer snack lineup.

What else is new at TJ’s?

New dips call for new chips and if you’re looking for something new to pair with the ranch dip, look no farther than the chip aisle at TJ’s. This summer, parsley crackers for $2.49  will be available at TJ’s for a crisp and lightly salted addition to your summer snack spread. The crackers could be just what you need to enjoy the light ranch dip.

But, if you’re looking to spice up your chips and dips, TJ’s is also selling Spicy Mango Habanero Guacamole for $3.49. The guacamole is the ultimate combination of sweet and spicy with mangos adding a sweet twist to the jalapeño heat. The Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips for $3.99 are always a classic combo for the mango habanero guac.
And while chips and dips are essential for summer snacks, no summer would be complete without a sweet treat to finish the day. TJ’s Strawberry & Cream Cloud Cake for $6.49 is ideal for a little dessert after a long hot summer day. The sponge cake decorated with strawberries and custard is ready to thaw, cut and serve whenever you’re searching for a sweet end to your day.
