Over the past few years, Trader Joe’s has been increasing the number of tote bag design drops they’ve come up with during the year, and we all keep coming back for them. After the sensationalized release of their mini pastel tote bags this spring, it is no wonder that Trader Joe’s decided to bring back their Halloween-themed mini tote bags, just in time for trick-or-treating season.
Even if you’re not going trick-or-treating this year, these bags can be used for almost anything. From lunchboxes to grocery bags to a very small book bag, these totes are multi-purpose in the best way possible, and, to be honest, is there ever such a thing as too many tote bags?
What do the new totes look like?
The Trick-or-Treat Mini Canvas Totes are part of their mini-canvas tote collection that keeps making a comeback. They are 13 inches in length by 11 inches in height and have about 6 inches of depth, which has proven to be the most appealing size, if we listen to what all of the excited buyers have to say about it.
Like other Trader Joe’s tote bag lines, they’re coming out with four new spooky colors that will draw everyone’s attention. They have two plain canvas totes this year: purple with a green logo and black with an orange logo. Instead of the plain orange that was released last year, this line includes two multicolored totes, featuring all four colors in different arrays.
When are the new bags being released?
You have no time to waste, because the tote bags are hitting the shelves nationwide today, September 30, and will be available for a limited time only, or until store supplies run out. And you have to be smart about it, because these releases are only gaining more traction.
However, if you don’t have time to go to stores today, do not worry. There are many locations that have received huge supplies, and there have already been people saying restocks are coming soon — so you won’t have to miss out.
How much do the tote bags cost?
The tote bags will still be priced at $2.99 each. Due to evident high demand — read: everyone really wants one — buyers are usually limited to one of each style at checkout, but if you go soon, they should still have all of the colors.
If, for some inexplicable reason, you are not sold on any of the colors, or if you wish that they had kept the now-retired plain orange tote, you are in luck. Users online have reported that, while officially discontinued, many Trader Joe’s locations across the country have been stocked with the bright orange color that was replaced this year, and you can probably still find one right now.
