Sarti Spritz Is Drink Of The Summer That You Can’t Get

It’s summertime, which means it’s also time for summer drinks. For the past few summers, the spritz has been a staple cocktail. Made with prosecco, sparkling soda water, and a bitter liqueur like Aperol, the spritz is a flavorful drink that perfectly captures the vibes of summer. There’s so many different types of spritz to choose from: a Hugo Spritz if you prefer a more delicate flavor, or a Campari Spritz for a more bitter taste. Now, there’s a new liqueur on the scene: but only in Europe. TikToker Eli Rallo shared Sarti Rosa with her followers, and everyone is trying to get their hands on it.

What is Sarti Rosa?

Sarti Rosa, similar to Aperol and Campari, is an aperitif liqueur. It’s made with Sicilian blood oranges, passionfruit, and mango, giving it a sweeter flavor than the classic Aperol Spritz. It can be made into spritz with prosecco and soda water, or even just enjoyed neat. And the best part — it’s bright pink. What screams summer more than a refreshing, sweet, pink cocktail?

There’s only one downside to what seems like the new drink of the summer: it is nearly impossible to get in the United States. Rallo shared that her best friend in London told her of the Sarti Spritz months ago. The Italian liqueur had already made its way to the U.K., and apparently, everyone was enjoying Sarti Spritzes as the weather warmed up. Naturally, Rallo had to get her hands on it immediately — only to find out how difficult it was to get it to America. Finally, she found someone who could ship her over a bottle. Because of international shipping, the shipping cost her the price of the bottle: $35.

How can I get a bottle of Sarti Rosa?

While it’s nearly impossible to get Sarti Rosa from a liquor store in America, it’s possible to get it from overseas — if you’re willing to pay the price. Master of Malt sells a bottle for $20, but the shipping fee is over $60. Honestly, Rallo made it sound so delicious that the price almost seems worth it. But at that point, it might be more cost effective to buy a ticket to London and try a Sarti Spritz there. Rallo said that her bottle is expected to arrive by the end of the month, and she’ll share her thoughts on the long awaited Sarti. I guess we’ll all have to live through Rallo and just try to imagine the taste.

Are there similar alternatives to Sarti Rosa?

While there is no exact dupe for Sarti Rosa in America, people have been on the hunt to find similar tasting aperitifs for their summer cocktails. Lillet Rosé has a similar fruity flavor, like red berries, orange blossom, and grapefruit. Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato has hints of rose water, papaya, and orange zest. Even though these aren’t exact matches, it’s something to hold us over until Sarti Rosa makes its way to the United States. Until then, we’ll have to watch from afar as Europe enjoys their Sarti Spritz summer.
