How To Get A Free Bowl At Chipotle This Week If You’re A College Student

With December upon us, it’s officially the most magical time of the year. Your tree is probably decorated with your childhood ornaments. Your family’s stockings are likely hung by the chimney with care. And in addition to the holiday season, the Football Bowl Subdivision’s postseason mashups are about to begin.

Students attending the colleges selected for these bowl games have an extra gift awaiting them: watching their teams compete against some of the finest talent in the country. Chipotle’s new “Bowl Eligible” offer puts a bow on this present in a mouthwatering way.

What is Chipotle’s “Bowl Eligible” deal?

According to Chipotle’s Vice President of Digital Strategy & Product Management Nicole West, “Bowl season is a tradition that brings students together through watch parties and tailgates, and we want to make these celebrations more accessible.” She stated that the deal “is a simple, tech-enabled reward that meets students where they are and connects food with fandom during the peak of college football season.”

How can you get a free bowl at Chipotle?

On December 10, the burrito giant spilled the (pinto) beans about its new two-for-one deal created specifically for Chipotle U Rewards members. The only requirement? The members must attend schools that are playing in the postseason games. So if you go to the University of Georgia, James Madison University, the University of Connecticut or the 81 other schools included in the lineup, you simply need to be part of the Chipotle U Rewards program to unlock a free meal for your bestie with the purchase of yours.

If your school is involved in the scheduled bowl games and Chipotle U Rewards has already been a vital part of your college career, then you’re all set! You’ll get the voucher today.

Late to the Chipotle U Rewards party? Not a problem! All you have to do is use ID.me to show you’re actually a student after first signing up through Chipotle. (Note: Chipotle U Rewards will want you to enter your Chipotle account information, so sign up through Chipotle first before registering for Chipotle U Rewards.) Sit tight and wait for the magic to happen, and your wallet will include the voucher by December 19. You have until next Thursday, December 18, to register for the deal. But with games like the Celebration Bowl kicking off as soon as December 13, why wait?

Bowl game names like the Pop-Tarts Bowl, Duke’s Mayo Bowl, and the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl already make these matchups enticing to both die-hard football fans and passionate foodies alike. Chipotle’s “Bowl Eligible” initiative takes the food game a step further this year, ensuring that college students and their teams can walk away victorious on game day.
