According to a survey from Instacart, 68 percent of Americans don’t enjoy many of the traditional dishes served on Thanksgiving but make and eat them anyway for the sake of tradition. Think turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and green beans. But frozen pizza giant DiGiorno is looking to break that tradition.
What is the DiGiorno Thanksgiving pizza?
On November 1, DiGiorno will launch a limited-edition pizza that will probably be better than any other Thanksgiving table. The DiGiorno Thanksgiving Pizza has all the iconic Thanksgiving dishes in one bite. It features classic turkey, gravy sauce, diced sweet potatoes, green beans and cranberries topped with mozzarella and cheddar cheese all on a Detroit-style crust.
This isn't the first time DiGiorno released unique recipes uncommonly associated with frozen pizza. It launched the Croissant Crust Pizza line in 2020, which included cinnamon roll pizza and launched all-onion pizza in March. The brand even dropped a pineapple and pickle frozen pizza, inspired by the #picklepizza on TikTok. Essentially, they’re changing the game for frozen pizza.
The Thanksgiving Pizza seeks to bring friends and family together without worrying about kitchen prep and washing dishes. Well, more dishes than usual.
How to get the DiGiorno Thanksgiving pizza
The Thanksgiving Pizza is selling for $11.23 starting November 1. Visit www.shopdigiorno.goodnes.com to get your very own specialty pie. Go to “Collections” and click “Thanksgiving Pizza.”Since the frozen pizzas are limited, make sure to order before November 22. If you’re lucky, you could find it in the freezer aisle at your local grocery stores or online retailers. But I wouldn’t count on it.
