Starbucks Secret Menu Has Butterbeer Drinks for Every Diehard Harry Potter Fan

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at U Conn chapter.

Ever since Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat down at the Three Broomsticks and ordered a round of Butterbeers, fans have been dying to try the butterscotch concoction. Although we will never be lucky enough to achieve JK Rowling’s magical interpretation of the famous brew, Starbucks offers something pretty close.

On the Starbucks not-so-secret secret menu, there are two drinks that live up to the status of the Wizarding World. The Butterbeer Frappe will make anyone who drinks it forget about their missing Hogwarts letter. And for the colder weather, there’s the Hot Butterbeer Latte, which is sure to warm anyone up as they study for the OWLS or the NEWTS as the test dates quickly approach.

This drink is made with a Creme frappuccino base blended with three pumps of caramel syrup and three pumps of toffee nut syrup (for a grande size).

It tastes very similar to a vanilla frappuccino and doesn’t exactly harness that magic kick one would expect, but it will still leave you in a satisfied carb-filled food coma. If you want to ~spice things up~, add cinnamon dolce syrup and top the drink off with cinnamon. It’s definitely something you’d imagine flying down the cobblestone paths of Hogsmeade with.

This drink is made with a whole milk steamer, two shots of espresso, two shots of caramel syrup, three shots of toffee nut syrup, and three shots of cinnamon dolce syrup.

Top it with whipped and caramel crumbs to complete The Hog’s Head masterpiece. The added cinnamon brings the whole drink together and gives it that authentic wizarding stamp of approval.

These two Harry Potter drinks are guaranteed to make even muggles feel the magic. Grab your sickles and galleons and head to the nearest Starbucks to grab your own cup of hot or chilled Butterbeer today.
