Southern Recipe Small Batch Pork Rinds Flavors, Ranked

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Hofstra chapter.

If you’re like me, then you probably find yourself wandering to the fridge every few minutes to look for something new to snack on. I usually am on the lookout for snacks that are high in protein and low in carbohydrates because they help keep you feeling satisfied for longer. I came across Small Batch Pork Rinds and I will definitely be keeping these on hand during quarantine and beyond. Here’s my ranking of some of the flavors so next time you’re at the grocery store, you can pick the right flavor.

Small Batch Pork Rinds Ranked

4. Thai Style Curry

I am not a fan of spicy food so I had a feeling that these weren’t going to be my favorite. Let’s be clear, the actual pork rind itself is great, but the flavor just isn’t for me. This flavor contains a blend of curry powder, tumeric and a hint of coconut. The coconut hint was pleasant, but I think these are for those who aren’t afraid of eccentric flavors.

3. Spicy Dill

I didn’t find these Small Batch Pork Rinds to be as spicy as I had anticipated. Perhaps its because I love the taste of garlic and vinegar which was able to make up for the bit of heat that came with it. If you are looking for a snack with a little kick, this is definitely the flavor for you.

2. Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper

These sea salt and black pepper pork rinds are great for those who like the salt and pepper combination. This flavor was satisfying, yet basic which is a must for many when it comes to snacking.

1. Pineapple Ancho Chile

The pineapple ancho chile pork rinds were definitely one of my favorites. I’m a huge pineapple fan, so I had a feeling I was going to enjoy this flavor before I tried it. While there was a bit of spice, the pineapple flavor worked to balance out the taste. If you’re looking for a sweet and spicy snack, I would highly recommend this flavor.
