"Katie you HAVE to try this everything bagel seasoning!" "This is right up your alley!" "You must use this on your avocado toast!" "You're missing out Katie!"

I'll admit it. I had never tried the Everything but the Bagel Seasoning you can buy from Trader Joes. Shocking, I know. But I hadn't bought it for a lot of reasons. First, the closest Trader Joes from me is about a thirty minute drive, which is inconvenient. At school I had lived in a dorm for two years, meaning I eat dining hall food, and didn't have the ability to make my own food. And lastly, I've never liked to make my own food until recently.

My friends convinced me, and I took a drive down to Trader Joes

First impression

I absolutely hated it. Just kidding. As an everything bagel enthusiast, I absolutely loved it. I first tried the seasoning on a small piece of avocado toast, which I definitely recommend. I sprinkled a little bit on top of the mashed avocado and the flavor was immediately amped. The great thing about this little seasoning is that its easy to use, meaning you can put it almost on anything, and that is full of flavor. The small seeds bring a "garlicy" and "oniony" taste but also a salty one, just like an everything bagel would taste like.

Ingredients

The ingredients are mostly things that an everything bagel seasoning would include. On the actual label, the ingredients read "sesame seeds, sea salt flakes, dried minced garlic, dried minced onion, black sesame seeds, and poppy seeds." The seasoning is five calories per serving and a serving size is one fourth of a teaspoon. The thing that I like the best about this is that it is simple, easy, and accessible. No cutting and heating up in the oven, no grinding together, the directions are simply "Sprinkle this on whatever you'd like!" Another plus is that the mixer has a small amount of sodium, 80 mg, which is just the amount you need. Not too much and not too little.

What's Next

I plan to use this seasoning on all my foods, or at least the foods that it will taste good on. All of my Instagram stories and snapchat stories will include this seasoning, along with food of course. I'll be almost a brand ambassador for it, telling everyone about it and using it on everything. You can also put this seasoning on grilled chicken, baked potatoes, popcorn, mac and cheese, pizza, and pasta dishes, or whatever your heart desires. This mix is totally up to you!

Here's what to take away. I promise you, it is worth it. Buy the seasoning for a dollar and ninety-nine sense. It will last a long time, or two weeks, depending on how much you use. It is a simple touch of flavor that will make the neighbors go "Ooo what is on top of that?" and "I need to buy this too."
