McDonald's is all about the holidays this year. Next to their new Peppermint Mocha and Peppermint Hot Chocolate, they're dropping new holiday pies.
Of course, this is McDonald's, better known for their burgers than their baked goods (although their cookies are delish), so these festive pies are not actually full-sized desserts. They're hand pies, and they look s'cute.
The flaky pie crust will be similar tasting to a sugar cookie, coated in a sugar glaze, decorated with fun, colorful sprinkles, and filled with yummy vanilla custard inside.
Their aesthetic reminds me a little of the bougie birthday cake croissants at Union Fare Bakery in NYC. However, the McDonald's holiday pies are probs much cheaper—they're being sold for around 89 cents for one, and $1.50 for two.
You can get these at select McDonald's locations now, through the holiday season presumably. According to Thrillist, you'll find these pies in Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, Southern California, and Texas.
Similar to the Christmas cookies you'll soon be baking, or the cakes of birthdays past, these hands pies are going to add a little joy in you life. Or, at least on your Insta story.
