In addition to being known for my pumpkin obsession and caffeine addiction, I’m also known as the girl who watched Camp Rock on loop from ages 7-9, and cried when she met Kevin Jonas at the airport.
My love for the JoBros has spanned more than a decade, and only intensified now that they’re releasing new music, documentaries, and of course, going on tour again. As the Jonas Brothers return to their home state of New Jersey (Seton Hall Represent!) for two sold-out performances on the “Remember This” tour, the trio are bringing more than just a good time to the Garden State. Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas have partnered with The Naked Market, a next-gen food and beverage business, to bring to life a long-time backstage (and mid-show) snack.
Starting Oct. 5, The Jonas Brothers, along with The Naked Market, will be releasing an all-new popcorn brand: Rob’s Backstage Popcorn.
Rob’s Backstage Popcorn brings to life the secret recipe that has been the irreplaceable backstage snack at every Jonas Brothers show since the band’s earliest days.
The secret seasoning for Rob’s Backstage Popcorn was originally created more than three decades ago by Rob Garbowsky, the father of Greg Garbowsky, longtime friend, former bass guitarist and current member of the JoBro’s management team. But the vision to bring Rob’s Backstage Popcorn to life came to Nick Jonas several years later when, after a solo show, he got his first taste of the popcorn during an evening spent at the Garbowskys’ home, and convinced Rob to start making the popcorn for the Jonas Brothers crew.
The unique flavor quickly made it the entire band’s go-to snack, the unofficial backstage snack on the Jonas Brothers’ historic “Happiness Begins” tour, and has been on the road with them ever since. The highly classified recipe includes a one-of-a-kind seasoning, resulting in a perfect mix of sweet and savory that makes it impossible to quit after just one handful.
Nick, along with brothers Kevin and Joe, approached The Naked Market to bring their vision for Rob’s Backstage Popcorn to life. In just eight short weeks before the start of the “Remember This” tour, The Naked Market worked closely with the Jonas Brothers to develop a product that accurately represented the original recipe, design packaging and labels that spoke to the artisanal nature of the popcorn, produce the popcorn at mass and deliver a satisfying snacking experience on the tour.
Until now, Rob’s Backstage Popcorn has been exclusively available at Live Nation venues on stops along the tour. Now, it’s taking center stage with availability nationwide.
I was lucky enough to sample Rob’s Backstage Popcorn early, and let me tell you — I came for the Jonas Brothers, and stayed for the perfectly crunchy, perfectly savory, absolutely-addicting popcorn.
Rob’s Backstage Popcorn not only lived up to, but absolutely exceeded the hype. It hit every flavor note, from slightly sweet, to mouthwateringly-savory, to subtly spicy. Did my roommates and I finish the bag in one sitting? Idk, maybe.
Rob’s Backstage Popcorn is my new favorite snack for after-class, work-day afternoons, or watch parties of the “Chasing Happiness” documentary and “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” with my friends and fellow fans.
Though The Jonas Stamp of Approval meant that the popcorn quickly sold out, Spoon University has good news!
Rob’s Popcorn is officially back in stock, and retails for $19.99 for a 4-pack of bags.
