After seeing Unbakeables pop up on my explore page of Instagram multiple times, I knew I had to find out more about this company. All I knew was that they made perfectly shaped edible cookie dough rounds coated with sweet and delicious toppings–and that was all I needed to know to become obsessed with these bite sized treats.

After speaking with the owner of Unbakeables, Corey Tolkin, I fell even more in love with the company. She explained how as a child, she loved eating raw cookie dough straight out of the bowl, but, like all of us, was scolded by her mother. However, (unlike my mother, sadly) Corey's mom came up with an edible cookie dough recipe that is the foundation of Unbakeables to this day.

While new cookie dough products seem to be popping up on the market everywhere, Unbakeables is special. Instead of just scooping some dough into a jar, Corey and her mother hand form perfect disks of various flavors of cookie dough and garnish them with delectable sweets, like their original chocolate peanut butter spread.

Corey was even kind enough to send me some of her most popular flavors to sample.

A ten pack of cookie dough disks costs $15 and an eight pack costs $5. The price may seem a bit steep, but the quality of the ingredients and the taste of the product is worth it. Whether you like more out there flavors (such as midnight mint) or you like traditional flavors (like chocolate chip), there's something for everyone. After much debate and taste testing, I made an unofficial ranking of the four flavors I was sent.

1. Midnight Mint

This flavor was a huge hit among my family and I. We loved the contrast between the dark chocolate dough and the mint flavored chocolate topping. It was like a better version of a Thin Mint.

Rating: 10/10

2. Original

While this flavor is called original, there is nothing boring about it. As an avid peanut butter lover, this was a definite hit. The sweet milk chocolate chip dough with the salty peanut butter flavored topping worked well together.

Rating: 9/10

3. Salty Sweet

If chocolate covered pretzels are your thing, you will fall in love with this flavor. The original chocolate chip dough is topped with dark chocolate and pretzels, creating a perfect balance between salty and sweet.

Rating: 8.5/10

4. Cake Walk

This flavor consists of a birthday cake dough that is topped off with cute and colorful sprinkles. While super sweet, this flavor reminded me exactly of what birthday cake should taste like. The sprinkles lent a perfect crunch to the soft dough.

Rating: 8/10

Unbakeables is an amazing company that serves equally amazing products. Eating them instantly takes you back to your childhood memories of secretly stealing spoonfuls of raw cookie dough. These treats are perfect to send as a gift or to buy for yourself as a treat because cookie dough makes everything better.
