Ice cream is practically my middle name. So when I heard that Daily Harvest was getting into the ice cream game, I knew I had to try them. Dubbed “Scoops,” these new frozen treats are plant-based pints that are ready-to-eat straight from the freezer. You can even eat them straight from the DH box when it arrives on your doorstep—I did and tbh I have no regrets. Each flavor is made from plant-based ingredients and will leave you feeling good about your snacking choices. A perfect treat to end your night with after killing that whole bag of chips by yourself on the couch, no judgment.

The new lineup of indulgent treats includes Chocolate Ooey Gooey Midnight Fudge, Vanilla Salted Swirled Black Sesame, Strawberry Rich Rippled Berry Compote, and Mint Dark Melty Cacao Chips. You might be surprised to find out that each of these new treats is actually full of real ingredients with functional superfoods. Every pint of scoops is free of dairy, gums, fillers, additives, refined sugars, and carrageenans. So your body won’t hate you after you clean out that whole pint in one sitting. Lactose intolerant? I don't know her.

So is this ice cream worth the hype? Absolutely! Just like many other snacks from Daily Harvest, you don’t have to sacrifice nutrition over flavor. Don’t be put off by the thought of real fruits and vegetables in your ice cream. These pints are some of the best I have ever tried, (and I’ve tried a lot). My personal favorites are the Ooey Gooey Midnight Fudge and the Vanilla Salted Swirled Black Sesame. I even found myself adding about half a pint of the Berry Compote to my smoothies in the morning. My boyfriend has found that the Mint Cacao scoops are a great way to find his Thin Mint fix at 2 AM. Since we can’t keep a box of Girl Scout cookies in our apartment for more than 6 hours.

Starting today, you can now add any (or all—I don’t judge) of these new, tasty treats to your next box from Daily Harvest. You might have to increase your box size after looking at these new scoops. And how could I forget, in celebration of this launch, Daily Harvest has even teamed up with Boyz II Men, who have dropped a new song in tribute. Thank me later.
