Celebrity-Owned Restaurants That You Should Know About

Celebrities are always leaving us stunned. Last month, Erewhon and Olivia Rodrigo announced a smoothie collab that’s advertised to be good for us, and Bradley Cooper was serving cheesesteaks out of a food truck. Before that, you had a higher chance of Ed Sheeran handing you a coffee than going to one of his concerts. Honestly, I’m here for all the random food collaborations that celebrities are doing. But what about restaurants? There are a multitude of celebrity-owned restaurants that we might not know about so, here’s a list of some owned by our fav celebs.

Bad Bunny

Two years ago, the Puerto Rican singer and entrepreneur David Grutman opened a Japanese-inspired steakhouse, Gekko, in Miami.

From TikTok videos, the ambiance is very lounge-esque and is packed in the evenings. The menu features tacos, dumplings, sushi, and specialty steaks like Wagyu Skirt Steak.

The Jonas Brothers

Burning up the stage and the kitchen, the brothers’ are showing their love for Southern food. The first location of Nellie’s Southern Kitchen opened in Belmont, North Carolina. in 2016 and the second in Las Vegas in 2022.

The inspiration for the restaurant comes from Nellie Jonas, Kevin Sr.’s grandmother who, according to the website, was an incredible cook and a gracious hostess who focused on simple, fresh ingredients and on making people feel at home.

Eminem

I want you to guess the name of this restaurant. Yep, it’s Mom’s Spaghetti — named after a lyric in the rapper’s 2002 Oscar and Grammy-winning tune, “Lose Yourself.” Located in Detroit, Slim Shady’s restaurant serves up meatballs and, of course, spaghetti.

P.S. You can even buy a jar of sauce too!

Olivia Culpo

Back in 2017, the former Miss USA winner opened a family restaurant in her home state of Rhode Island with her father, Peter Culpo, and cousin Josh Culpo.

Back 40 serves American craft food and cocktails like the spicy fried chicken sandwich, baked mac and cheese, and fried pickles.

Ty Burrell

One of America’s favorite TV dads owns four establishments in Utah. Burrell purchased The Eating Establishment in Park City, Utah. The American eatery has been open since 1972 and in 2017 was purchased by Burrell’s family-owned restaurant group. It has a lengthy breakfast menu that will make anyone happy (I’ll be honest, I’m eyeing the loaded baked potato omlette).

He has also revamped Bar X, Beer Bar, and The Cotton Bottom.

Channing Tatum

Now that She’s the Man is finally on Netflix, I think it’s only right to include Channing Tatum on this list. In 2012, Tatum and his friend friend and business partner Keith Kurtz opened Saints and Sinners. No, not Magic Mike-themed but Burlesque-themed restaurant and bar in New Orleans.

It has a lengthy drink menu and features a lot of cheese — Gouda isn’t explicitly mentioned.

Lady Gaga

Joanna Trattoria is a family-owned restaurant near Central Park, N.Y., and the pop singer became a part owner in 2010. The dishes served are family favorites of the Germanotta family including various pizzas and pastas.

As the caption says, rainy days call for a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs, and I couldn’t agree more.

Ryan Gosling

C’mon Barbie let’s go party at Ryan Gosling’s Beverly Hills restaurant. Tagine is a Moroccan eatery that came to fruition after Gosling tasted Chef Ben’s dishes. According to the website, Gosling inquired about the caterer insisting it was “food he would eat everyday for the rest of his life.” It’s a cute story that ends with the two becoming great friends and opening a restaurant together.
