I’ve been starting to dabble more in cooking over the quarantine period, but I’ve realized something. The reason I dread cooking is because there are so many steps and ingredients are expensive. I know, I’m a food blogger who doesn’t cook often. However, Lidl is a grocery retailer known for providing high quality products at low prices, so now maybe I’ll actually get on board with cooking. If you’re looking for quick and easy recipes, keep on reading to find five that have three steps or less.
1. Blueberry Muffins
Servings: 36
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook time: 11 minutes
Total time: 21 minutes
Ingredients:
-1 container blueberries
-Lidl blueberry muffin mix
-3/4 cup water
-1/4 cup Lidl vegetable oil
-2 Lidl eggs
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (or 400°F for dark or nonstick pans). Place paper baking cups in muffin cups or grease bottoms of muffin cups with cooking spray or shortening.
2. Drain blueberries, rinse and set aside. Stir muffin mix, ¾ cup water, ¼ cup vegetable oil and 2 eggs in a medium bowl until blended (batter may be lumpy). Gently stir in blueberries.
3. Divide batter among muffin cups (about ¼ cup each). Bake as indicated or until golden brown and tops spring back when touched. Cool 5 minutes; carefully remove from pan (if muffins are not in paper cups, run knife around sides before removing). Cool completely before storing.
2. Asian Broccoli Slaw

Ingredients:
-2 cups broccoli stems, peeled and shredded
-1 cup carrots, peeled and shredded
-½ cup green onion, thinly sliced
-½ cup cilantro, roughly chopped
-2 cups frozen edamame, thawed
-½ cup almonds, thinly sliced
-1 cup organic salad dressing, Asian ginger
-¼ cup sriracha
-1 lime, zest and juice
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
2. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
3. Let the slaw sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
3. Watermelon And Grilled Corn Salsa
Servings: 8
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Total time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
-2 ears corn
-2 cups watermelon chunks
-¼ cup red bell pepper, diced small
-¼ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
-½ teaspoon salt
-¼ teaspoon pepper
-¼ cup red onion, very finely diced
-¼ cup cilantro, roughly chopped
-½ jalapeno, seeded and minced
Directions:
1. Grill the corn until it is lightly charred. Allow to cool, then cut corn off of the cob.
2. Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl and toss until everything is evenly incorporated.
4. Turkey Sliders
Servings: 4

Ingredients:
-1 package (16-ounce) Hawaiian sweet rolls
-½ pound sliced turkey
-1 cup cranberry sauce
-2 tablespoons Lidl Preferred Selection Dijon mustard
Directions:
1. In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat cranberry sauce in 15 second intervals until spreadable.
2. Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally (without separating the individual rolls). Spread mustard evenly on each half. Spread cranberry sauce on bottom half.
3. Layer turkey evenly on the bottom half of rolls. Place top half of rolls on turkey to make one large sandwich. Slice into 12 individual rolls.
5. Turkey Apple Brie Croissant
Servings: 1
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
Total time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
-1 butter croissant
-3 slices of Lidl Preferred Selection double crème Brie, about 2 inches long
-4 slices golden roast special recipe turkey breast
-3 slices of Granny Smith apple
-¼ cup baby arugula
-1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Directions:
1. Cut the croissant in half lengthwise. Place into a frying pan cut side down and heat over medium heat for approximately 4 minutes or until toasted and golden brown.
2. Place Brie on bottom half of toasted croissant, top with sliced turkey, apple slices and arugula.
3. Spread Dijon mustard on top half of croissant and place on top of the sandwich
