- In a pot over a medium heat, drizzle olive oil coating the pot. 
- Add onions and garlic, stirring occasionally until onions soften. Should take about 7 minutes. 
- Add carrots and celery and cook until soft. Should take another 7 minutes. 
- Add ground beef, breaking up all of the meat with a SPOON. Cook until browned, about 10 minutes. 
- Pour the red wine over the meat and cook until burned off. About 5 minutes. 
- Add can of tomatoes, basil, and parsley. Stir together for a few minutes, cover the pot, and then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 30 minutes until the sauce comes together.
