How to Make a Simple Green Goddess Smoothie

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at Texas chapter.

Although the color burnt orange holds first place in Austin’s heart, green is on the rise. Here’s a suggestion: reserve burnt orange for game days and add green to your daily dishes.

Spinach is loaded with vitamins and minerals that benefit your health in numerous ways.  From helping skin to fighting off illness, spinach (and other greens such as kale) are a great addition to any meal or snack. Adding a handful of leafy greens to a sweet smoothie is an easy, delicious and nutritional boost.

This recipe is a good base. You can mix it up by adding 2-3 strawberries or varying your liquid base. Personalize it to your taste buds! Add more spinach if you want to be a SUPER green goddess.
