This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at USC chapter.

Unless they come in a can sponsored by the Pillsbury doughboy, the thought of even trying to make cinnamon rolls tends to be a pain in the ass, which is why bringing a pan of these to share is a fail-proof way to impress anyone and everyone.

This is a versatile recipe that can fit almost any situation. School got you and everyone else around you down? Planning on hosting friends for a brunch or need an easy dessert that isn’t cookies to bring to a gathering? Want to convince your family that you have your life together as a budding adult the next time you go home?

Say no more and let these no-yeast cinnamon rolls do the trick and solve all your problems. And while you’re at it, make sure to casually let everyone know they’re made from scratch. Because, no big deal, you just made a batch of cinnamon rolls – all from scratch.

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease a 8×8 baking pan and set aside.

  2. Combine first four ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix until well combined. Set aside.

  3. Combine flour, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Combine thoroughly. Set aside.

  4. In a small bowl, mix together yogurt, milk, and the 2 tablespoons melted butter until smooth. Pour liquid mixture into dry ingredients and mix until a sticky dough forms.

  5. Dump out dough onto a floured surface. Dust more flour on top of dough. Roll dough out into a rectangle that measures approximately 10×12 inches.

#SpoonTip: Complete this step with floured hands. The dough will be super sticky.
