A 15-Second S’mores Cookie Recipe for the Lazy College Kid

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at UC Berkeley chapter.

S’mores are always a favorite. Late night cravings? Too tired to really make anything other than pulling out some oreos? We’ve got the perfect snack for you, and your 2 am chocolate craving will definitely be satisfied — we promise.

This recipe probably got a little hurt when it fell from heaven, it’s that perfect. And by perfect, we mean simple. Because seriously, who has the time to buy graham crackers and actually make s’mores the old fashioned way? Plus, there’s no way for you to catch the marshmallow on fire this way.

Instructions

  1. IMG 1001

Place a chocolate chip cookie on a plate and put a marshmallow in the middle of the cookie.

  2. IMG 1012

Put the plate into the microwave and heat it for 10 seconds.

#Spoontip: Marshmallows expand like crazy when they’re heated, so make sure it’s in the middle of the chocolate chip cookie or it will fall off.

  3. IMG 1015

Stack on another chocolate chip cookie and you’ve got yourself the tastiest, easiest s’more out there.

If you’re feeling daring, instead of adding another chocolate chip cookie, add on some toppings like sprinkles, chocolate chips and/or fruits.
