Luis Zavala is a writer for the Spoon University National Writers Program. He enjoys covering food trends, analyzing how food intersects with culture.
Luis is a fourth-year student at San Diego State University, where he is majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Media Studies. Alongside a minor in Creative Editing and Publishing.
In addition to writing for Spoon, Luis is an entertainment reporter for The Underground Edit. He also has published work in SDSU’s “The Daily Aztec” and Southwestern College’s “The Sun”. Outside of writing, Luis enjoys reading, talking with his friends, and discovering new music.
