Hi, I’m Kaylah! I’m a writer in Spoon University’s Writers Program and a business marketing student at Pace University. I’m passionate about writing, storytelling, and creating content that people can relate to. I’m especially interested in food, lifestyle, entertainment, pop culture, beauty, and the everyday experiences that make college and young adulthood exciting. I love finding creative angles on topics that people are already talking about and turning my interests and experiences into stories that are fun, engaging, and relatable. Through Spoon, I’m excited to continue developing my writing voice while connecting with readers through stories they can see themselves in.
Alongside writing, I’m pursuing a BBA in General Business with a concentration in Marketing at Pace University’s Lubin School of Business. I’ve gained experience through several marketing internships and opportunities, developing skills in social media, digital communications, content creation, campaigns, and audience engagement. I’m also a Snif Ambassador, where I create content and engage with the brand and its audience. In addition to Spoon, I write for Her Campus, where I cover entertainment, movies, television, and trending topics for a college audience. My experiences in both marketing and journalism have strengthened my interest in digital media, storytelling, and creating content with a specific audience in mind.
Outside of writing and marketing, I love watching movies and television, reading, exploring New York City, discovering new places to eat, and keeping up with pop culture and beauty trends. I also enjoy incorporating my Puerto Rican culture and personal experiences into the things I create. I’m always looking for new experiences, new stories to tell, and new creative outlets. I hope to build a career that combines my interests in journalism, marketing, entertainment, and digital media while continuing to grow as a writer and storyteller.
