Alton Brow, host of the best Food Network Show on the planet, Good Eats, has a granola recipe that will make you want to eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Yep, it’s that good.

His granola is crunchy, nutty and full of maple-y and coconut-y flavors and is so good I can barely walk past my pantry without going in for a handful every. Single. Time. So here’s the recipe. Enjoy it. And I’m sorry for your future addiction.

*Disclaimer: I altered the recipe a tad to make it healthier by substituting pecans for cashews, using less sugar and using less vegetable oil.

Good Eats Granola

  • Prep Time:10 minutes
  • Cook Time:1 hour 15 minutes
  • Total Time:1 hour 25 minutes
  • Servings:6
  • Easy

    Ingredients

  • 3 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup sweet shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup raw pecan halves
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 pinch salt

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 250˚F.

    Toast pecan halves in oven for 15 minutes.

  • Step 3

    In a large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar,  and shredded coconut.

  • Step 4

    In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, vegetable oil, melted butter and salt. Then add wet ingredients to dry and mix together.

  • Step 5

    Spread mixture onto a cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes stirring the granola at 15 minute intervals.

  • Step 6

    Remove from oven, let cool and add toasted pecans. Transfer to an air tight container and store.
