How to Make Rainbow Spaghetti That’s (almost) Too Beautiful to Eat

If you’ve logged on to Instagram, even once in the last few months, you know that rainbow food is one of the biggest food trends right now. Everything from bagels, to grilled cheese, to smoothies, to cheesecake and just about everything in between has been turned into a multicolored creation. And just when we were starting to get worried that everyone’s favorite carb, pasta, couldn’t be rainbow-fied, our fears were put to rest. Here, we’ll show you how to make the most insta-worthy rainbow spaghetti that’s so gorgeous it’s (almost) too pretty to eat.

 

Rainbow Spaghetti

    Bring water to a boil and cook spaghetti to al dente package directions.

    Add two tablespoons of water and several drops of different colored food coloring, while pasta is cooking, to each of the four Ziploc bags.

    Drain the spaghetti, once finished cooking.

    Divide spaghetti evenly among the four bags.

    Shake and massage each bag of spaghetti until every strand is fully coated.

    Allow color to sink in for a minute.

    Place each color of spaghetti back into your strainer, one by one, and run under warm water to remove any excess dye.

    Place all four colors back into the pot and stir together, once rinsed, along with your butter and salt.

    Serve with freshly grated parmesan cheese and enjoy.
