Klondike bars can be hard to come by in college. There aren’t too many ice cream vending machines around, and it’s not so often you find yourself splurging on dessert in a gas station.
Next time you have a craving for that good ol’ Choco Taco, put your chef’s hat on and make your own. It might even taste better.
Choco Taco
Ingredients
Instructions
Microwave dark chocolate and butter in 20 second intervals until completely melted.
In a separate bowl, mix together eggs, salt, and vanilla.
Add in the melted dark chocolate and butter mixture.
In another bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, and sugar.
Add in the wet mixture and mix until combined (be sure not to over mix).
SpoonTip: If the mixture seems too thick, add milk until it’s a more liquid-y and less pudding-y consistency.
Heat pan, coat with butter, and add batter. Swerve the pan so the batter spreads into a nice, thin and even circle.
Cook for about 4 minutes and flip.
Place the soon-to-be-taco pancake on a wooden spoon resting on two glasses. Press it into a taco shape and let it cool until hardened.
Fill the tacos with ice cream of your choice.
Drown the tacos in melted chocolate chips, add some sprinkles or nuts if you wish, and freeze for one hour.
There ya have it. Your very own Klondike bar.
