Bacon Jalapeño Cream Cheese Poppers

This article is written by a student writer from the Spoon University at U Mich chapter.

Michigan is poised to make another deep run in this year’s March Madness tournament, so the need for delicious game watching food is just as urgent as ever.

In the spirit of March Madness, we should treat every game like the championship game; hence, here’s the best appetizer I could imagine (with some inspiration from tablespoon.com).  I have a running theory that anything stuffed inside a crescent roll instantly gets even more delicious, and this theory has not failed me yet.  This recipe only needs a few cheap ingredients, and you can make them early in the day and store the uncooked, stuffed dough balls in the fridge until you’re ready to bake.  They’re definitely best fresh out of the oven.

Easy

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 12 minutes

Total Time: 22 minutes

Servings: Makes about 15 poppers

Ingredients:
1 can Pillsbury crescent rolls
3-4 jalapeño peppers, seeded and diced
6-8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup bacon, crumbled and cooked

4. Fold crescent dough into a neat ball, making sure to completely seal the filling inside the dough.
