If you’re like me, then half of the time you find yourself eating all the cookie dough before it makes it into the oven. I feel guilty every time that happens, so I came up with the perfect creative solution. These chocolate chip cookie dough truffles are meant to be eaten in dough form and are eggless, so don’t worry about the dangers of salmonella. Plus, they’re small enough that eating one is (nearly) guilt-free. That is, of course, if you can stop yourself at just one.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites
Ingredients
Instructions
Place stick of butter and sugars into a medium mixing bowl. Mix together by hand, or with a mixer.
Add flour to the mixture, then add in vanilla and salt. Mix well.
Gently fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed. Place dough in refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Remove dough from the fridge and roll into 2-inch balls. Place dough balls on a baking sheet covered in wax paper. Place baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes, or until the balls have hardened.
Remove dough balls from the freezer. In a small bowl, warm the melting chocolate in the microwave. Using a fork, dip each cookie dough ball in the melted chocolate, then place onto the wax paper.
Top each bite with mini chocolate chips before the chocolate hardens. Enjoy!
