3 Guilt-Free Dessert Recipes That Still Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

Dinner is never over without dessert. Although a pint of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream is always tempting, sometimes I want to end my night guilt-free. Luckily, I can do so without compromising flavor. These recipes are just a few ways to eat dessert that won’t ruin your beach bod.

Chocolate Covered Bananas

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

2 bananas
3 tablespoons almond milk
1 6-oz. bag chocolate chips (whatever kind you want)

Directions:

1. Peel the bananas and cut them in half, width wise.

2. Place the chocolate and almond milk in a pot and melt on the stove.

3. Using either toothpicks or popscicle sticks, dip the bananas in chocolate. This part gets messy, so use a spoon to help you.

4. Place the dipped bananas on a plate, and put in the fridge for at least three hours.

Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

1 avocado
1 banana
3 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons coconut oil
2 tablespoons agave
Pinch of salt

Directions:

1. Cut the avocado in half, remove the seed and cut into cubes, removing the peel.

2. Peel the banana and cut into fourths.

3. Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. This should take about four minutes.

4. Place blended mixture in the fridge if you prefer it to be chilled, or enjoy as is!

Homemade Chocolate Bark

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 24 hours (to chill)
Total Time: 24 hours and 5 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons peanut butter
¼ cup cocoa powder
¼ cup coconut oil
3 tablespoons agave
Any toppings (coconut, dried strawberries, pistachios, etc.)

Directions:

1. Place all the ingredients (except toppings) in a blender, and blend until smooth.

2. Pour the chocolate mixture onto a pan or tray and add any desired toppings.

3. Place in the fridge for 24 hours.

4. Break into pieces, and enjoy!
